The workers are only following orders from the top--so that's obviously where the problem is.
I own the company. I do the hiring and firing. I am the one who does the budget. I'm the one who makes the critical decisions that keep my company in business.

I'm not going to fire myself.

Next.

You need to read this. You are solely basing things on YOUR experiences. I am wondering if you are just trying to be obtuse for the heck of it.
And you seem to be ignoring anything that claims otherwise. I know the job market isn't ideal, but if you are willing to move to find a job, it is easy to find one.

People who have trouble are those who refuse to leave their town. If you need help (or if you don't believe me), send me a PM and I can give you some tips.

Costs money to leave town...you should never do so until you have a job guaranteed.

lol...obviously. The problem is many people are too lazy/scared to even interview outside of an hour's drive from their current house.

Where do you live? I will look up the closest place to rent a car for you.

Or are you just TRYING to be as difficult as possible? Hopefully you get my point.

Lack of transportation is YOUR problem. NOT an excuse. Find a friend to drive you, take a bus, take a train, ride a bike, interview whereever you can, as much as you can. Claiming you can't work because there aren't open jobs within walking/public transportation distance of your house is a poor excuse. It shows laziness and an unwillingness to really try to find a job. We live in a global society anymore. Local just won't cut it. This is 2009, not the 1920's. Either change with the times or you will struggle.

Which again, costs money, and I think they expect you to be insured? It's not a problem for me, as I have a job, and don't require a vehicle to get to it. I walk 99% of the time. I may take a bus occasionally, but don't really care to pay the extra money for that.

There is absolutely NO need to move from the place you were born.

Nobody needs to work all their life. Take some time off. Anybody can make 30K a year. That's $10 an hour with some overtime or a part time job. Anybody can live on 15K a year, I do, and so do a lot of other retirees. So work 20 years at 30K, and live 40 years at 15K. What's so hard about that? You've got 20 years where you never have to go to work, so go to Mexico or someplace and live cheap during those years. What, you say you've already spent all the money you've made in recent working years? Tsk tsk tsk.

I already had 16 years where I did no work. It's time to work now, and for the rest of my life. If you don't work, you haven't earned your right to live.

"No Need"? Perhaps. But then again, I drove through a town just yesterday, a old mining town and the mines have shut down - the town is literally dying. If you don't have work - and no jobs are available - then, you actually might NEED to move from the place you were born.
