We do, but it depends on the role. If it replaces a personal relation, its different. Like the phone systems... they don't need that nice voice but it makes you feel as if a human is somewhere around.
Somehow going to a nice restraunt and having a mechanical waiter come which looked like Robby would not quite be the same. Its part of what we expect.
Its also true that cheap labor is cheaper than a robot. But that is now. What about a robot which can scan a tomato plant and find the ripe fruit and leave the green ones? So you can sell your tomatoes at premium prices. The robot doesn't have to be paid for repeated passes on the field. It can spot potential infestation as it searches. It is a bigger cost, but that is a one time one.
