I have a college degree, and I resent that I had to pay for about 3 years of "high school review". Anybody who has gone to college knows that the G.E. and prep classes you're forced to take are just a review of what you were supposed to have learned in high school, and it's a total waste of time.
If I had it to do all over again, I wouldn't have wasted my time and money in college.

I definitely agree with that.

My friend and I were biopsych majors. Though I decided to leave the science field, he stayed. He claims that he uses all his organic chem. Lower division GEs are like high school, I agree. However, many upper division GE courses give you insight to a potential path. That's the purpose of the GEs, they enable you to gain different experiences that you may not have otherwise seen. It's a crap shoot, some people feel that it's a waste, others find a new field.

hell, mine isn't worth much anyway (a journalism degree based on the old ways), thus why I'm going to grad school to do something else.
