Does this go in the dog forum? I thought so, because it mimics his other 'heartfelt' apology....

Vick is like a lot of young men without a moral compass and is just sorry that he got caught. It's just a matter of time before something else happens. So many young people look up to athletes and I see Vick's attitude in them. Nothing is ever their fault and few people call them on it. When the Vick story first broke, I made sure that my students not only knew my strong feelings about the man (?) but also their responsibilities as young people and the true differences between right and wrong. Surprisingly enough, no parents complained.

Vick may be an influence on young people but the biggest influences come from the parents. Teach your children when they are young to respect animals and nature and continue that lesson throughout life and it will offset the Vicks of the world.

I also work with kids and I remember a few asking me what I thought about it. I told them in a kind and gentle way. They agreed. So there is hope for a few at least.

Like Lee Marvin in the movie "The Dirty Dozen"... "you made one mistake...you got caught"

No complaints? That'd be a first. Of course the only reason he's apologized 'for real' is that he got caught. Probation? He won't make it a year without sc*&%ing up.

Your students are fortunate to have at least one adult in their lives who can give them some sort of moral compass. Where the heck are the parents in this????

Once again I let my out-of-control belief in our educational system take hold of my better senses.

You folks do realize that this is satire, don't you? Nothing to get too wound up about. Breathe deeply.
