How about the use of voice? I hear some people with terrible speech habits but their voices sound so nice that it hardly matters. On the other hand are those people with bad speech who also believe they must yell everything to get a point across...

If only the Founding Fathers had written the Constitution more clearly, we could solve all these problems we have in the Supreme Court.

If our Founding fathers, had anticipated how hard some will work to bend the Law into what the want it to be, we would have less problems.

This goes to show that not only do Americans not speak properly, but they also have problems when it comes to concentration. This isn't a thread about government, law, or any of the problems pertaining thereto.

First the word ever, as in best ever is just getting out of hand. Radio and TV ads have people using this phrase ad nauseum. "We have the best sandwiches ever" for example. Why limit yourself by making such a proclamation? Life continues to evolve, and there will be more great experiences. At least I hope so. So stop with the ever.

Sentences are continually started with um, actually or ironically. The usage is always incorrect and unnecessary. In the case of um, it just makes you sound dumb.

In regards to like, this is always ridiculous. I was like, Im like, it's like. come on people! You either are or you are not. Enough of this nonsense! Learn to speak!
Actually, language is an ever evolving artifact of humanity. The constant evolution of language means that some people will like the new meanings, and some people will not. Ironically, those who dislike one set of idioms, like other sets of idioms.

...um...get it?

You assume I'm talking to you it seems. You are mistaken. I'm just making a a statement, if it's all the same to you. So don't jump at conclusions and start humpin my leg.

Actually, yes it is. If there is no common and mutually understood language, how is government and law possible? How does a person who speaks only Ebonics get a fair trial or make himself understood to government agencies?

True. But the misuse of "um" "actually" "like" and "ironically" contribute very little to the overall confusion.
