I se many immagrants including illeagls that I would trade for many citizens I see except for the fact that they are illegal. The law does count and its unfair to aloow some to break the law and others wait in line. I do think that no matter what we do some of the biggest gripers about multicultural advocates are the strongest that stick to their particular standard of culture.When cultures disagree there is conflict.
I do not think American culture is being destroyed at the moment but in some cities, there is some balkanization occurring with some immigrant populations who have no interest in assimilating or learning English.
It goes both ways, the "mainstream" culture has be willing to assimilate the immigrant, as much as the immigrant has to have the desire to absorb him or herself into the larger culture...
A lot of Americans have just turned into cultural sloths. They wear their ignorance proudly. I try to avoid the tacky, and seek out higher minds, and places.
After the last couple of days, I believe that I have changed my mind. I have been trying to destroy the American Culture. For instance I have taken to stopping at the local wannabe family owned restaurant and pointed out that it isn't proper to drop the salad on the floor and put it back into the bowls. I have smacked the diners in the back of the head for picking their teeth in public. I spent 20 minutes teaching the 40 year old woman at the cash register how to count back change. I slipped into my neighbors house and removed all of her recorded Jerry Springer shows and replaced them with international films with subtitles. I have gone to the grocery store and demanded that they begin to sell all of necessary ingredients for me to cook authentic Indian food. I have removed all of the children's books written in English at the bookstore and hid them. I moved all of the books written in Arabic to those shelves. I removed the Bible from the spirituality section and put it with the comic books. Then I went to the library and personally escorted people to the non-fiction section and pointed out books like......the history of California. I do what I can.
I'm asking this question because American life is changing rapidly.
What are your thoughts?
My thoughts are that anyone who blames multi-culturalism for the "downfall of America" is a racist and ignorant to the history of this country. Without Multi-culturalism this country would not exist.

My thoughts are that posts like this don't belong on any website outside of Stormfront, The KKK and The White Aryan Resistance.
In other words, people participating in thoughful philosophical debates have a responsibility to avoid speaking truths that might be thought of by some as politically incorrect.
The horrors in the Indian Subcontinent at the time of partition cannot be viewed in the context of a multicultural society. Apartheid did not arise out of multiculturalism. Saying so would be racist and ignorant to Indian or South African history, and such a suggestion doesn't belong on a balanced, thoughtful website.
I am worried about where muticulturism is going to settle out in say,50 yrs or so. Certain cultures( one in particular) are dragging us down morally. I hope when it all settles out that the moral degradation is dust in the wind.

I really don't think that in 2009 any one cultural group has the monopoly on immorality. Name a group that you think are pristine and I'm sure I can find some historical dirt on them. Humankind is cruel.

Is it the Jews? The Blacks? The Arabs? The Mexicans?
Personally, I think the people who have dragged our morals into the dirt are people in the ADVERTISING INDUSTRY. Without them, we'd have far more morals!
