I have to say i'm surprised. Although I believe that the Limbaugh announcement was a publicity stunt, but very surprise that that owner would have come out with that announcement so early and so strong.

Good. All the hateful things he's said are coming back to bite him. You reap what you sow.

All of his money can't change that!

Limbaugh will end up with ownership.

There is no reason for him and his partner not too.

What, is Irsay looking to sneak the Colts out of Indy in the middle of the night and move them to a vacant facility in STL?

There are hundreds of millions of reasons why the NFL wants him involved

And he wasnt trying to be a controlling owner, just an investor, do you guys not know the difference? Its not a "Rush up or down" its a vote for an investment GROUP..

There is no reason for Limbaugh NOT to be "involved" by owning a team.

Especially when teams in the league are financially strapped and there is a ready, willing and able buyer available for one of those teams.

Limbore would end up with a southern plantation complete with black slaves, many of them being underaged girls if he had his choice. He will actually wind up with nothing as his chickens have come home to roost.

NFL Players executive director DeMaurice Smith on Saturday made a move to solidify the union against a bid by conservative talk show radio host Rush Limbaugh as part of a group that aims to purchase the St. Louis Rams.

"I've spoken to the Commissioner [Roger Goodell] and I understand that this ownership consideration is in the early stages. But sport in America is at its best when it unifies, gives all of us reason to cheer, and when it transcends. Our sport does exactly that when it overcomes division and rejects discrimination and hatred."
-- DeMaurice Smith, in e-mail to union's executive committee
