Why haven't Asian women, who are considered by some, to be THE most desireable of all groups of women. Other races of women are represented in the Top Actress/Sexiest Actress/Top Paid Actress/etc catergories pretty much along with their representative demographics in America - why aren't Asian women represented?
they are overrepresented on porn industry because of exoticizing factor. asians seem most different or peculiar than other people. besides that, the asian submissive stereotype.

What exactly do you mean by that? Are you implying that Asians look "strange" or something?

Your link is also inconclusive, as it does not give any statistics, nor does it differentiate between hard porn and soft porn. It also largely reflects the fact that American-based corporations are responsible for the global distribution of the most porn.

Instead of sticking your head inside a freezer, I suggest stick it where it can get some professional help, to assist you in your interpersonal relationships and your childish way of expressing yourself in social discourse.

Why aren't Asian women represented more diversely in American/European film?
I have heard this debate before my take on the subject is this. This is America so more American's in the field. If you go to Europe more Europeans are in the field. <<<---- Make sense

Lets not make and issue out of something that really shouldn't be

Well there is a the huge Porn factor for them yes but that started more in their country vs ours and just kind of merged over.

But that does not explain why they are not considered for roles where, for example, the best friend of the main character can be of any race. They also are not included in the role of wife/girlfriend of any main characters.

I understand the submissive "stereotype" but the reality is quite different. Given the number of men in Hollywood who have Asian wives/girlfriends (in front of and behind the camera), why aren't Asian actresses being represented?

There are several films were the actress's role can be filled by a woman of any race and those parts have been filled by Black or Latin actresses (ie The Rich Man's Wife with Halle Berry, Fools Rush In with Salma Hayek, The Bodyguard with Whitney Houston, Mission Impossible II with Thandie Newton, almost ALL films with Jennifer Lopez, among others)

Evidently you are the immature and dishonest one as you failed to read your own link, probably because you never cared to know the truth.

It is clear that AMERICA is the largest PRODUCER and DISTRIBUTOR of pornography. Americans take pride in being the best in everything, why not take pride in this? lol. Because you want to stick your head in the sand or ignore the information, does not mean it's not true. yes, grow up. lol

um, I posted no link. the info is from your own link!

Another interesting snippet from your link:

The Netherlands 1,883,800

Even Woody Allen (who is married to an Asian women) does not include Asian characters in his films.

overall asians are a small minority and don't appeal to mainstream. i'm sure there will be more asian-americans in media in the future as later generations become more americanized.
