Hypothetically speaking, If one killed a person of another race other than themselves, but really liked that person, would it still be a hate crime??

There are other motives behind murder other than hate you know. Killing someone because they feel that is the only answer but later regreting it, especially to those they killed that they loved.

Most murders, thankfully I must say, are not the cold heartless psychopaths that get a thrill from it. It is what makes most killers just killers who kill someone or people they know vs intelligent individuals who prey on a huge number of strangers which puts anyone with certain related traits or lifestyles at risk.

there are a lot of people killed do to love gone bad. Probably more than are killed do to hate. " I loved her so much, I just couldn't let her go"

In California there are no majorities any more. No ethinic group or race has over 50% of the population. ...we are all minorities....
