Yes, but a woman who gets a start in the entertainment industry has just as much chance to rise up the ladder in her field as a woman working in a supermarket. Furthermore, making $500 a night as an entertainer provides her with the capital to invest in a future enterprise, or in an education. In a couple of years, she can make enough money to own her own club, or can finance a college education and have the free time to pursue it. An opportunity that is closed to a check-out clerk making $70 a day.

The basic assumption is that different individuals have different wherewithals, regardless of the field of endeavor. You can't ban an activity merely because success in the field demands wherewithal and those who lack wherewithal are at risk of failure.

What do you think?
Men are generally better paid than women?

I think female prostitutes probably make more than their male co-workers too.

Whoops, let's not forget models. While male models make only a fraction, maybe five rarely six figures, female models take home the big bacon. Gemma Ward, a runway model, makes millions while Giselle Bundchen, the top earning model, made 20 million last year.

Pornography exists as a subgroup of art and performance for no other reason than because there is a constant effort to ban it. Without such an effort to prohibit it, neither the word nor the concept would exist.

Good. I have been sitting here trying to figure out if if I was supposed to defend a position that I hadn't taken.
