yeah but where would we go we can only travel so fast and right now faster then light travel is impossible and the enegy we would need to make it would be insane but even then the next solar system is still so far away

A permanent base on the moon would be a good start. With time, it could be self sustaining with the water that is there.

Thats the first step to settlement of another planet.

Of course, if an Asteroid killed most of us off before then, we'd be in trouble. However, could you imagine human survivors coming back to Earth after a catastrophic asteroid hit on the planet?

the moon would be possible but settling planet outside of our solar system is near impossible we are not really made for long distance space travel

Acid rain and ozone depletion have the same effect. Killing things off for a fresh start. So by your logic I guess mankind is doing a lot of good for the ole planet after all.

This is true. Travel outside of our solar system is at best, centuries away. However, it is concievable that in the future we will be able to visit other star systems.

That will never happen, until we step off of our planet first. The moon is just the first step in that goal. Its like the vikings getting to Newfoundland. We are just waiting for Columbus to go to the new world (Mars).

All of the carbon monoxide, is good for the plants. so is the alleged rise in temperature. ---People always equate what is best for their way of life, rather than what may be best for the Natural inhabitants of our little Planet. When we look at how we may have left Mars, We should take the time and think long and hard at any decisions concerning what is best for Mother Earth.

Sure they do. Back when I had cats, they routinely stalked and killed for fun. Dogs and wolves also hunt and kill for pleasure. A fox in a henhouse doesn't eat all the chickens.

A deer doesn't kill for pleasure because it's not a predator. It's a prey animal.

Planted trees.....of course we cut down a lot more.

I don't find the "we voted republicans out of office" remark very funny.
We might as well say the Holocaust was good for the planet.

Sorry but dogs and wollves don't kill for pleasue. Some are trained by Man to do so. My cat ate most of what He killed. Maybe not every feather, but the parts he wanted. If an animal kills in the process of leaning hunting skills, it is not for just the pleasure of the kill, but just part of his training to hunt for survival. My cat is forever bringing me the left overs from his hunting forays.
