What are the pros and cons of Nuclear Power? This is what I can think of now...

Pro - Clean (unless leakage or a meltdown occur)

Con - Risk of meltdown, produces waste that the US does not have a place for. I believe Yucca Mt. is being put on hold or cancelled. Risk of terrorism.

What else?

Secondly, instead of letting our nuclear arms rot and never be used...could we use the uranium and other supplies designed for warheads for nuclear energy plants?

Is the US going to build more nuclear power plants? When and where? Also, why is France so dependent on nuclear energy? What percentage of US electricity/ energy is from Nuclear energy?

Sorry, I do not know that much about the issue but I do want to hear both sides of the debate.
