Why are some racial groups more prone to suicide? (drug, statistics, death)

Black males 16-24 also have a pretty high rate than has been increasing.

sounds like all racial groups are prone to it somewhat.

as for white males, it could be that many of them cannot ask for help because they're supposed to be the strong white male. they deal with it by killing themselves because they won't appear "cowardly".

I thnik that alcoholics and drug users are more prone but then often those are ruled overdose. Suicide is just a ruling on cause of death and often not really looked at very hard.Overdose;accidental are often suicides really.

Yes, but still statistically VERY low in comparison to other groups.

They're not. Suicide is a function of a person's personality, which is entirely environment-determined. People who were raised with a particular religious or spiritual view, who then encounter lifetime experiences that are challenging, make the decision on the basis of those two factors to commit suicide. It has nothing to do with race.

Be careful not to assume a causality merely because two things both happen.
