This article (http://www.newgeography.com/content/00609-sushi-without-japanese-portlands-cultural-dilemma - broken link) irritates me. I'm not going to call it anti-white, but I'm going to call it "irritating". I don't understand what's wrong with living in a city that has a European American majority.
This is why I think multiculturalism and racial diversity is overrated.
A city doesn't have to have a non-white majority to be a good place to live.
To be honest, it's crap like the statements in that article that make me feel a little insignificant in America just because of my race (White/Caucasian). It makes me feel that I have no culture just because of my race. Every human being belongs to a culture regardless of their race or ethnicity.
Here's a quote from the article:
Advocating for the coloring of white neighborhoods seems extreme. But Portlanders do themselves a disservice by not at least discussing the potential consequences of living in a whitewashed city.
My question is: What the hell?
I know I make quite a few threads on race, but there are many things about it that just annoy me, such as the content of that article.
Thoughts? Opinions?

The article is a little offensive and I'm black, but America's demographics are surely changing and European majority cities are decreasing. In other words. Get used to it.
Well, I've lived in Detroit, and I now live in a city with less than 5% "non white" people.
I choose the one I'm living in now, thanks.
That being said, my best friend growing up was black. I really didn't see anything different about their household, or personalities. They listened to different music, but in the south, we all eat the same foods.
I'm sorry, but you will be attacked for your hostile overtone. You may prefer to live in a "white majority city," but I bet your grandchildren will not have that opportunity. lol
I guess they would be more occupied if they started investigating pedophiles and serial killers.
Most cities haven't had a serial killer in decades. Even Milwaukee hasn't had one since Dahmer.
I can't believe that I'm arguing with a person who thinks serial killers is a serious ongoing problem in this country that needs our police to drop what they are doing and go and investigate it.
In fact, if all the serial killers in US history who killed ten or more victims, if they had all killed their victims last year, it would still account for only 2% of all the homicides.
I meant the mass murderers...those people that shoot up malls and schools.
In almost all such cases, the police arrest the perps within a few minutes. I don't know how you expect them to spend more time investigating those cases., when 99.99% of the time, there are no unsolved cases to investigate.
