And what is the big deal besides the fact that it is Illegal from a law point of view? He did wrong because the law says he did wrong. The law needs to change in my opinion. I do not agree with what he did and I hope he serves his time like a man.
It says a second search warrant was issued. I would presume that evidence from the bust pointed the troopers in the direction of the other house. I am glad they shut down the illegal growing operation. I would on the other hand not agree with a mandatory min PA has for a small amount of pot possession. personal use in ones home is their own business... just like booze.
If we would ever legalize marijuana; how much would be too much and how would we enforce a new law? These questions have been around forever and I don’t think we are any closer to compromise today than we were fifty years ago.
I always agree that our drug laws are not working. However; I have safety concerns about how we would control marijuana on our highways or at our work place. Marijuana users don’t feel they are impaired and should be able to do anything. Our government feels that the slightest trace in the blood should be enough to fine anybody or keep them off our roads. I think that the truth is probably in between the two positions. I don’t even like the misuse of legal prescription medication on our highways. Many are jumping on the band wagon to get cell phones off our roads - because they feel they are too distracting. Hallucinating is also a distraction.
