Whether it takes the form of Afrocentric schools, being homeschooled or just having parents take the time to reinforce African values to their children - the lesson needs to be learned that we are the only ones who can grasp our piece of the pie in America.
We need to stop "asking" for White folks "permission" and simply go get what we want. When I was a child, I remember asking my grandfather why he had decided to start his first business - his answer was that (at the time) they only hired White people (men) to do the jobs that he felt were appropriate for his level of education and he had no desire to be a Pullman porter or a delivery boy. He had to create his own "job" by starting his own company.

You need to do several things:
1. Pull your head out of your you-know-what.
2. Get off your lazy you-know-what, go to school & graduate, and get a job.
3. Stop expecting everything to be handed to you on a silver platter.
Do you wanted to be treated as an equal by white people? Good! I would hope so! Now shut up and get to work, like everybody else has to! You don't get a free ride just because you're black. You don't deserve preferential treatment just because you're black. The opportunities are all around you. YOU need to take advantage of them!

I can tell you EXACTLY what I do. I treat them like I treat EVERYBODY else. No more, no less, no different.
Isn't that what we're supposed to do?

Did you even read what she wrote? You just explained her point. Just goes to show how this thread has been so caught up in tit for tat talking points that nobody bothers to listen to each other's argument anymore, much less provide anything remotely comparable to a reasoned evaluation or rebuttal. This is precisely what is wrong with the contemporary dialogue on anything to do with race.

You are 100% correct. If I have a history of not paying my bills, I will have bad credit. Entities are judged by their past. Thats how the world works today. Hence, whites can get little credit with me on the matter race. Their FICO mid score is about 400. They have had a 300 year history AND TRADITION of being anti-black. They have done it so long that its a cultural paradigm. Its subliminal. They don't even have to think about it because its culturally engrained. That is why they always end up in opposition to what blacks do......if its not something they TOLD us to do.The negatively impact blacks in effect, if not intent.
I tell them that I see my self as an African....and they try to whip me to make me see myself as an American...lol. Its just like Kunta Kinta defining himself and the "Master" whipping him to he would accept his new slave name of Toby. The audacity of some of these people is absurd. I don't care how other black people or white people choose to define themselves or choose to call me.....but to try to "whip" me into submission to a defintion THEY want me to assume just shows you their arrogance and percieved "Authority" as if we are "Children" to be scolded and told what we should think. Its laughable.

Tell me what that says. What it means to you.
I can tell you what it IS. It's a steaming pile of crap.
I have absolutely no interest whatever in "keeping the black man down." Why in sam hill would I? I have absolutely no vested interest whatever in maintaining a permanent underclass.
Her post was stupid, and I simply pointed out how stupid it was.

Thank you for openly admitting - yet again - that you are a hateful, nasty racist.
If you see yourself as Kunta Kinta that is YOUR problem. Nobody is treating you that way. Nobody is telling you you're Kunta Kinta - except YOU.
This post outdoes your previous ones, and not to your honor but to your shame. Pure idiocy.

What some of you need to realize, is that quite of few of these posters on here that are claiming to be black are actually racist white guys, that are pretending to be black, just for the purpose of trying to create more hatred. I know of 2 for sure on here that are this way, and am fairly convinced on a couple of others.

Pride comes from achievement.
False pride comes from something else.
Achieve great and noble things, and you will be proud.
Achieve nothing, and you will be proud of nothing.
Love God, love your neighbor... that is something to be proud of.
Pretend piety, prey on your neighbor ... that is not something to be proud of.
Voluntary charity is a blessing.
Compulsory charity is a curse.
Honor the commandment, "Thou Shalt Not Steal".... even if it is the government doing it, and splitting the proceeds with you.
"No one should suffer for lack of {fill in the blank}," must be prefaced with "No one should be compelled to labor for the benefit of another, so that..."
Slavery is never an acceptable solution to the ills of mankind.
Neither is thievery, bribery and deception - public or private sector.
On this, one can be sure.

Please tell me this is not the case. I thought honesty and integrity were alive and well in online anonymous forums. Where are my rose colored glasses? Innocence lost
