Hey everyone, I was wondering about what I should use, instead of plastic bins, if I wanted to move? You know people pack things away, and I don't want to use plastic, I'm not sure if cardboard boxes are a good idea and couldn't get them anyway, so I'm not sure what I should use. Any help would be great. Thanks!

It all depends if you are looking for cheap (relatively speaking) or sturdy. Cardboard moving boxes are readily available so I don't understand the statement about "couldn't get them anyway". Some appliance stores are just as happy to give away their large boxes to anyone who asks as they are packing them for recycling.

Our local Uhaul and Budget rental have all sized boxes for sale. They are made to last through at least 4moves, and if you don't want to save them you are encouraged to drop them off for others to use for free. Check these places frequently and see how many free boxes you can stockpile before your move.

I've never heard of packing for a move in plastic bins. MOVING boxes are made of cardboard and if you have a local freecycle you can get as many as you want.
