But, now that you mention the Prius, it is certainly not an environmentally positive vehicle. I mean it hardly takes an engineer to see that if you take a 15k vehicle and expend another 25000 in manufacturing costs and raw materials to do the job of the 15000 vehicle, its excessive costs and raw materials far outweighs whatever perceived benefit regarding type and amount of energy it consumes could possibly matter.
