I re-use the plastic bags that come from the grocery store in my kitchen garbage and bathroom garbage cans. I fill the kitchen bag about once every 2 weeks, the bathroom can go for 2-4 weeks.

My city recycles so much that I end up recycling 70-80% of what would normally go in the garbage.

In the new year, I plan to use my Envirosax bags for all grocery shopping, and to buy biodegradable bags for the cat litter, hopefully to phase out the plastic grocery bags to just 3-4 per month for trash.

Unless it had soup, something greasy, or raw meat in it, I wash and re-use ziploc bags.

I love reusing plastic bags or any bags for theat matter.
I reuse for kitty litter, bringing food to work, wrapping up food for the freezer etc., etc., etc.,

I also reuse the bags that I get bird seed and sunflower seeds in.

I save all the plastic bags from the supermarket for my doggie-cleanup duty, as well as lining small trash cans. Other than that, I probably use one or two kitchen-sized trash bags.
