I do my part and re-use the plastic ones though, I use them to clean up dog ****........ Maybe I'll start taking them back to the store.

Are you really that dense??? You take them back to the store when you go back and re-use them just like you would with a cloth bag.

Just proves that there is no common sense in this forum!!

Yep I guess I am cause I didn't think of it that way. Most places I go to the cashier packs the bags and it's much more convenient because they have that rack thing that holds the bags in place while they pack. Do you pack your own? If I was the cashier I'd tell you your either gonna pack your own or get new ones.

Of course it took energy to create the reusable bag. Only a complete dunce would fail to realize that. But once you've got your bag, you can use it hundreds, maybe even thousands of times, so in the long run it is quite worthwhile.

I don't really follow in your statement it doesn't make a difference.
You know why that plant runs so many bags ?
Because stores purchase them.
You know why they purchase so many?
Because people use them.
Therefore, if people cut down or stopped using them the factory wouldn't be running so many.

Most stores have plastic bag recycle bins for the used bags.

Most paper bags at stores are made from recycled paper not new trees.

I hope the picture you posted was a stock photo and wasn't taken at your job, most places will fire you for taking pictures of their property.
