I know after people here read this concerning the toxic waste produced by the manufacture of iPads and such they will immediately voice extreme concern and mount boycotts and protests in front of Apple stores...

How many thousands of innocent poor Chinese people are going to die because of Apple? Every iPad manufactured negates 35 American 100% green people who totally recycle, live off the grid and travel exclusively by bicycle....

Quote:
The iPad’s light, sleek, simple construction belies its complex origins. There’s a lot of stuff in the iPad: aluminum and glass, of course, but also other heavy metals and toxic chemicals. And manufacturing each 1.44-pound iPad results in over 285 times its own weight in greenhouse gas emissions. The manufacturing of and material used in the iPad are two reasons why the iPad must be made in China—and not just in the ways you’d expect.
Why the iPad Has to be Made in China

Any cheap (of expensive made cheaply) plastic crap made in China is probably bad for the environment, child / slave labor and our economy.

OMG..what just happened?

I really already don't do "make in china".
That is when Apple lost me as its customer.
I buy (try very very hard) "local" (save gas & green house emissions) or recycle (via antique shops etc.).
