That's a brilliant idea and whoever made that he is truly a genius.

I have a small business here in Toronto, that recycles all types of computers, and the assorted accessories.

I tear them down, take out the boards, the chips, and the motherboard. I then remove the gold pins, silver connectors, and the copper. The plastic outer cases go to a plastic recycler, to make new plastic items. The metal goes to the local recycling scrap yard. The screens go to a glass recycling company to make new glass bottles. The power cords are stripped of their plastic , and the copper is sold to make new wire. I even have a buyer for the little screws that hold everything together.

A typical laptop has about $30 worth of materials in it, a desk top has about $45 in it. A server can be worth about $80, depending on it's capacity. Cell phones have a gold circuit, and some older ones also have a valuable board in them. Printers and copier's have gold chips and connectors in them, as do the ink cartridges.

It takes time, but I have lots of that now.
