Default High MPG trike! 60MPG

Looks like a lot of fun too. 2 wheels in the front for stability without losing agility. I could get to work and back for a month on less than 3 gallons of gas! Would make a cool Sunday afternoon drive mobile too.

Ok, now I know what that funny looking scooter I have been seeing around town on my way home from work is called. Piaggio is one of those scooter makers from Italy. I use a bicycle for commuting to work, and at my 14 or 15 mph pedaling speed, tend to notice things like this more than if I were barreling along in my car. I've noticed a lot more scooter and mc riders in my area in the past year. Weather is very mild here and it doesn't rain much, so they are pretty useful year round if the driver is safe when driving around the suburban streets.

Here in California you don't need a motorcycle license for one (we need them for everything else). I was at a dealer this weekend and they have some interesting features, for instance, you don't need to put your feet down and support it when you stop. You hit a button and the wheels lock to support you.
They aren't cheap, but if you drove it regularly I guess it would help with gas savings.
I think I will stick with 2 wheels but maybe for folks that don't feel comfortable with balancing?

I love those T-rex "bikes". If they weren't so low to the ground I would get one. Wish they would make a more street friendly one. I would trade in a motorcycle for this one any day.
