Default water systems

I saw a water system on a tv show and wanted to know where I can find more info out about it. How it works is, you bury it in your yard, it collects rain water, filters it and then supplies your house with water. When it is empty it automatically switches your water supply back to the cities water supply. Wanted to know if anyone was familiar with this and know of a website.

KKRA is on a distinguished road
I saw a rainwater collection system recently on HGTV. Their system is a huge tank buried in the yard, so it may be what you're looking to find. I would go to their website, click on the "2008 Green Home" giveaway link and see what you can find out about it. I think the show broadcasted on Sun. 3/23. Hope this helps.

What you are referring to is a Systern. A water collection system for a house. This type of system is used almost exclusively in the Carribean and A lot in Mexico.

The cistern system I saw on HGTV supplied wash water, toilet water, etc but did NOT supply drinking water. Still a great idea being reborn.
