One of my forum members has a windmill, cost him quite a bit of money. He got shafted though because the guy that did the piad wind study just wanted to sell him a wind mill. He eventually purchased one from someone else based on the original study but it hasn't worked out that well. Expect a return on his investment in 20+ years. He's not entirely disappointed but if has stated if he had to do it again he wouldn't. Careful who you're dealing with if you want to purchase one, all the shisters will be coming out of the woodwork selling these if energy prices skyrocket. Certainly a very suitable long term investment if you have the wind though.

I said I wasn't going to bother with you any more. It seems that most other CD'ers have similar opinion... but for the record, Simple math will show that a plant with no planned outages and a 5% forced outage rate runs 95% of the time. I don't care if it was at nameplate or not........And I didn't acknowledge any thing, I was indicating the increased need for coal generation as shown by your link.....

P.S. I thought you were in D.C.? If you have a FLA Engineers cert. it's a temporary at best. Who exactly do you work for???

Hi 54ford! All I have to say about this character who claims he/she is a licensed engineer is that Scammers promote scams! This Dude has tripped him/herself up too many times and has absolutely no grasp or understanding of standard engineering methodology.

It seems to me most people have in their minds the idea that there is only one kind of turbine. I thought I'd provide a list of different ones, here.
