People are so attached to their cars and would freak if they were taken away. There are people all over the world who don't own a car and use public transportation, walk or ride a bicycle. America unfortunately built their cities with the car in mind.

I have friends who think I am nuts for not wanting another car. I have mapped out routes that will enable me to get all over. I was shocked when I calculated the cost of owning a car. It is insane. So Recycled I agree with what you have said. While people are stuck in traffic jams I will be able to get where I need to without a traffic jam. And when I do need a bus they now have bike racks on the front of them.

Yeah, not everyone lives in a big city that has public transportation. You aren't ever going to get rid of the car in this country, it's just too big and too spread out.

Especially with a lot of people and long commutes which are common. I drive 50 miles 1 way to work. Biking is not practical. I do like though my work at home days though.
