You can't make a blanket statement that one is better then the other. There are pro's and con's to all forms of energy production.
There are some parts of the country where the sun rarely shines, but wind is more constant and reliable. There,
wind would be a better choice.
There are other parts of the country where there isn't much wind, but there is abundant sunshine. There
solar would be a better choice.
Wind can produce day and night.
Solar can only produce during daytime, if its not cloudy.
Solar has a dark side too.
