About 10 percent of the world’s surface is glacial ice, which can be sheets, ice caps, or glaciers. While this may sound like a very small percentage, remember too that it contains 75 percent of the earth’s fresh water. In other words, if they start melting, then you can expect water levels to rise. This can be very dangerous since low-lying lands may disappear over time. This can then lead to serious human displacement, among others. https://hazardouswastedisposalsandie...lobal-warming/

It is unlikely that the polar ice caps where most of the ice is located will ever melt. They just plain dont get enough sun in summer and dont get any in winter. The Ice that may melt is sea ice. However sea ice is already in the water and if it melts it wont effect anything.

75% of "Fresh" Water. Not 75% of all water.

A mere 2.5 percent of all water is fresh.

Quit it with the facts. You're making this so much less sensational.
