Just wondering if anyone knows of any groups for young couples without kids in the Triad area (ideally around Winston-Salem). DH and I are specifically looking for a way to meet new friends after our move is completed in July.

I found the link to the Piedmont Hiking and Outing Club from another thread and that looks intriguing, but most of their members are older than DH and I (both of us are 25). We'd be up for a similar outdoor oriented group, but also could go for less active ones as well. We participated in a dinner/dessert get together here in SC.

Try meetup.com. You can find different groups in the area based on interests. Good luck!

Hi Maggie, and welcome to Winston-Salem! If you don't already know about it, Smitty's Notes is an excellent resource for "what's going on": Winston Salem, NC Events Guide - City of the Arts, Dining, Entertainment and Community Calendar in Winston Salem, Piedmont Triad, North Carolina

Click on the "Community" tab, and you'll find links to lots of community organizations, some of which may interest you. You might also check the Winston-Salem Journal's weekly "Relish" magazine (comes out each Thursday)--it has a detailed calendar of events, including music, hobby clubs, cultural festivals, dance classes, etc. Here's a link to the online version: WSJ Entertainment Relish Calendar (http://www2.journalnow.com/content/list/entertainment/relishcalendar/ - broken link)
