I am soooo thrilled. When I moved down here to Stony Point 4 years ago, I found that there was nothing around here that compared to shops up north. I wrote to the Christmas tree shop at that time and they told me they were in the process of moving south. So, needless to say, I am very very happy.

The new Greensboro store is opening this week. Check the local paper for the date.

We live a distance from Greensboro, so our local paper would not have anything about it. We called the Christmas tree shop and they said they did not know when the opening was. The girl sounded half asleep. Has anyone seen anything in their newspapers about an opening?

OMG how many transplants to NC are going through 5 year + withdrawls just chomping at the bit for them to open? I am doing a search for the best driving route from Kannapolis to Greensboro because I fully intend on hitting that place the moment the doors open! And I'm dragging everyone I know with me

BRACE YOURSELVES CHRISTMAS TREE SHOPS FANS!!!

While I was typing my last post, I received a reply to my email I sent them this morning about the date of opening and here is what they sent me:

The Greensboro store is scheduled to open over the weekend this week

Now I have to ask them the location so I can go - I will post it here when I get word back.

BUMMER!!! I'll be out-of-town this weekend

I've been emailing them myself for the past 4 yrs asking when they're coming down here. Last time I went to CTS was about 3 yrs ago on a trip to NY. It's time, lol!!!

They wrote back to me--"tentively this weekend", so I am just going to grit my teeth and wait til next week. I don't want to drive 1 1/2 hours only to find them closed. I only have 4 years of withdrawals, LOL!

I went to Target last night and this store looked open next door. I didn't go in, so they might have been doing a dry run or something, but there were definately people at the registers and in line for registers.
