Yesterday I went to Ross and paid $54.00 for five dresses. Ladies, if you want to shed those pants for the summer. Come on over to Ross. I will be the short lady with shades on and maybe a colorful scarf or ponytail. Yes, I know you are thinking ponytail. There could be several ladies with ponytails. That is the same with Ross you take your time looking for what you like to wear.

Tanglewood Park has it all. There is a swimming area, golf, horseback riding, lake, picnic area, bed and breakfast, play area for the kids, walking trail and more. The cost to enter per car is only $2.00. I went today and took a lunch. Tanglewood is a great place for families or singles to gather.

Morrow Mountain State Park - Heartland

Weymouth Woods-Sandhills Nature Preserve - Heartland

More than five miles of hiking trails, including 3.5 miles of bridle trails. Picnicking, visitor's center, exhibit hall, interpretive programs.
William B. Umstead State Park - Heartland

Hardwood forest oasis in urban Triangle region, creeks, lakes, extensive trail network with scenic overlooks. Nearly 30 tent and trailer campsites; showers; two group tent campsites; two group campsites with cabins and kitchen. Nearly 20 miles of hiking trails, including nearly 13 miles of bridle and bicycle trails. Lake fishing, rowboat and canoe rentals. Celebrate the Fourth of July with Tanglewood Park’s Annual Fireworks Display on Sunday, July 4th at 9:30 pm. Spend the day at Tanglewood and enjoy a variety of family activities including horseback riding, swimming, fishing, golfing, paddleboats, tennis, and more. At 5:30 pm the gates to the steeplechase track will open for picnicking before the fireworks display. Fireworks Admission: $5.00 per vehicle $10.00 per bus or motorcoach Fireworks Display: Approximately 9:30 pm In case of inclement weather at Tanglewood on July 4, the fireworks may be rescheduled for July 5th at 9:30 pm. The decision to postpone the fireworks display will be made on July 4. Please check our site or contact 336-778-6300 for more information.

Bring a picnic, blankets, water, wear comfortable shoes, hat, and food. Donot forget the napkins or sanitizer. Just make a list of all the things needed to make it a fun day.
