Construction Jobs (Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro: contractors, relocating to, area)

My boyfriend and I will be relocating to Greensboro from NJ/NY within the next few months. He is in the construction industry (carpentry), and we are having trouble finding job listings. I didn't think it would be this difficult, as family I have there are always telling me about all the construction taking place in the area. We haven't had much luck with the major job search sites. Does anyone have any ideas as to where to search, or who to contact? Thanks!

Believe it or not, just dropping in on jobsites is how its done a lot of times. Contractors are notorious for being hands on people... and not always so organized to run an ad, interview, etc. If he shows up with a tool box/belt, you'd be surprised that he might get put to work right away.

My wife and I are from NJ as well. We have been here for two years. You guys will love it here. Stay in a major area thats growing, either the triad, Charlotte, or Raleigh and you'll be fine with jobs....
