How do you go about finding a nice house to rent in the area? I would rather find either a small house or maybe a duplex to rent then live in an apartment complex. I will be North Carolina next week scouting areas to live and just need some information on where to find this out or where to start. Do realtors have this info or just look in the local paper?

thanks!

There seem to be a fair amount of decent rental houses around. I know of at least three in Mebane off the top of my head. All around 2000 sq ft with yards, in subdivisions.

Here is a website with some rental homes and pictures. These are in a downtown neighborhood, but if you are interested in other areas, this office may be able to help you find other rental agencies.

Greensboro Historic Rental Homes

Otherwise, I would check the News and Record classifieds online.
