I am sick of TWC raising their prices. Any suggestions for cable and internet in the Winston Salem area?

You would have to look into DSL or cellular for internet, satellite for TV or buy a digital antenna. Earthlink offers cable internet service but they actually use Time Warner network

DSL, clearwire 4g for internet. Rabbit ears and the internet for TV. You can pick up a blu-ray or roku player to make it simple and have access to current tv shows on hulu, movies/older tv shows on netflix, pandora for all your music. For $70 for a roku player and $7/mo for netflix, basic hulu is free (plus is $8/mo) you have 90% of all the things you would want to watch. There's websites out there that stream sports from espn for free. There's lot's of alternatives out there.

Is there FiOS in Winston-salem, NC? Moving to W-S, and I work from home, using highspeed internet. Initial search online doesn't give me options for Fios. Anyone local to W-S have any knowledge?
Thanks, Currently on AT&T Uverse

AFAIK, FCC regulations keep FiOS out of the state.

Hummmm, Satellite TV, Dish Network, or Directv, offers a variety of services usually of better quality and cheaper than Ma Bell or cable.

Default There is ATT now

I got sick of Time Warner Cable as well. For TV, I use Dish Network. It's a lot cheaper, and a decent reception but I have some minor problems when it rains a lot. I got rid of Roadrunner, too. I use AT&T broadband now. It's cheaper than Roadrunner, and about the same speed. Call them and they will mail you a modem and a do-it-yourself installation CD. You have to buy their modem (around $70), but when I got my service, they agreed to charge me for it in 12 monthly installments. Also, after four months of service, they mailed me a $70 gift card. So far, AT&T has worked fine with me. By the way, I live in Winston.
