A very reliable source told me that they were in the basement of the Christ Moravian Church on Academy St in Winston Salem with a friend one night. They were around the furnance area. Neither really believes in ghosts. Both had noticed that when they entered the basement they felt really on edge and weird. Then at the same time they heard a little girls voice say "Get Out". They heard the exact same thing at the same time. When they went back up stairs they asked the Pastor if anyone had mentioned the Church was haunted. He said that people had said that a little girl was seen/heard, but that he did not believe any of it. Neither of the guys mentioned what they had heard to the Pastor and left. When I heard this story it gave me cold chills! I know there are a lot of ghost stories near and around Old Salem. Let me know if anyone else knows about a little girl and that church. I couldn't find anything online.

I think that around Halloween, there was a thread about ghosts, etc. in the area. You might try searching the forum to see if you can find it and add your note to that thread?

With respect, ghosts or no, my first question would not have been whether the church was haunted but rather how old the furnace was. If it's a new furnace then I don't know. Perhaps it was Anna Nitschmann expecting the Count again.
