Hi all,
I'm in Kernersville and would love to find a good spot to see the lunar eclipse. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Patricia

Starts tonight (tomorrow morning 12/21/2010) around 1:33am with total eclipse by 3:17am. It's a trifecta of sorts, Full moon, Winter Solstice and a total lunar eclipse.

And to answer the OP, I would think any South/Southwest facing vantage point would work, preferably away from town so you don't have lights bugging you, but even from your deck would be fine since it is the moon and not distant stars.

You guys might have trouble, as clouds are expected to come in tonight.

Thanks for the responses.
When I got home from work at 11:30 I did a pros & cons list and decided not to venture away from home. The clouds and the cold being the 2 main cons. I did get up and watch some of it live on the internet. Seems a lot of areas were overcast for the event. I don't think I could see much from my house even without the clouds.
