Just moved to Greensboro from NH!
I have to say - so far, I love it! We moved here in December. The people are pretty nice (much more polite than in New England). Things are slower. There are actually 4 seasons (not just summer and winter), things are cheaper. So far, so good!

I grew up on Long Island. I've been in Las Vegas for the past two years and hate it. So we'll be moving to NC next summer.

I must have gypsy blood...

Me - born in Ohio, moved to Va Beach as a tot (yes, a Navy brat), back to Ohio as a teen, back to Va Beach.

Hubby - born and raised in NY (Long Island), then joined the Navy and bounced from TN to CA to VA all after boot camp. We met in Va (thank you USN!).

Together, we moved to CT for 1 year, back to Va Beach for another year, to Long Island for 2 years, then tripped into NC almost 15 years ago. Now, we're braving it again and moving to DE in 2 weeks.

Funny... he got out of the Navy so we would NOT be moving around all the time!

Mary

Talking The Pottery

Has anyone visited Seagrove?? I'd love to hear any experiences regarding the potters. It looks wonderful from the brochure!!
I've only been in Greensboro now nearly 2 weeks and I definately think NC is nicer than Charleston metro area!!! So much more to choose from in terms of restaurants and shopping and I love Harris Teeters!
I do wish there were basements!! The other day there were fear of tornado(s) and I nearly fainted!
