My wife and I want to find a quiet place to live in a travel trailer....prefer some place rural. We are told that if we buy land we can not live in a travel trailer on the land...county ordinances would get us an eviction.

Any suggestions or ideas ? We want to bank our paychecks....live off the grid on solar/wind/battery/propane.

We'd love to hear any ideas you may have. Thanks

I find that when one is 35 years old & thrice divorced, it's best to live in a van down by the river.

Unless you buy a piece of land (and double check that a travel trailer could be parked there to be lived in by county ordinances), you'll have to find a trailer park of some kind.

There are nice rural areas north and northwest of Winston Salem. Look at Rural Hall and King - commutes would be decent and the countryside quiet.

I've not checked the ordinances, but I'm thinking that you'd be more likely to do that in Stokes County verses Forsyth County. Still though it's be a decent commute to WS for work. You could always build a simple cabin on your land and live off the grid
