My favorite is in Rockford, NC (near Pilot Mountain)
Do NOT miss this store!

It's like walking into a candy store on "little house on the prairie"

Rockford General Store is an authentic country general store, located in the Historic Village of Rockford, NC, creaky wooden floors, pot belly stove, historic town in nc what more could you ask for?

They have antiques and replica signs from way back when.

You should know that if you go to Rockford, there is absolutely nothing else there except this small store. Also, we saw antique signs but no replicas. Went last week.

True, there is nothing to see but the store.

But if you live in the Triad area, it makes for a nice little day trip.
You get the scenic mountain drive, the visit to the store, and can visit other local areas while there (Pilot Mt., Mt. Airy)

I wouldn't make the trip if I was much more than an hour away, unless that sort of thing is extremely interesting to you.
