Winston-Salem-based Hanesbrands plans to reopen a distribution center it closed last year in its hometown. The apparel maker says the center will remain open at least three years. It will employ 60, far fewer than the 240 who worked there when it closed.

Still good news though. Hopefully due to fuel prices and continued rise in Indian and Chinese currency values, some of the textile and furniture jobs will come back to the Triad.

My neighbours work for Hanes in Mt.Airy. They havent had 40 hours of work a week since October. That company is hurting for sure.

Hope your neighbors get a raise. With the price of gas today. That is a hike for the wages. Mt Airy is a town on life support. Thing is the plug is working out of the socket.
