We will most likely be moving to the Greensboro area this summer.

What we are looking for....a small town feel, involved community, with a historic downtown area. Would love to buy an old house in town to renovate. We want a downtown area that we can shop and walk around in. Has a farmers market and festivals throughout the year. Great schools, we have four little girls. We enjoy the outoors. Great shopping close by...doesn't have to be in the city we are living in but a short drive.

Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Try looking at Reidsville, it is centrally located to Daville and Greensboro. There is a farmers market and a lot of well priced older homes that make a great project and the schools are as good as anywhere around. The downtown is undergoing a lot of renovation and the city has most of your needs. Anything they don't have you can be to in 30 min.

Get a map. Look at the small towns around Greensboro & Winston-Salem. Lewisville area has that small town feel. Nice area. Town has a nice sqaure and activities thoughout the year. Close to great public schools and prtivate. Close enough to the metro without the hurry. Ardmore area in Winston has great older homes. In city though. But, Winston Salem is one of those small cities with the country close. My rural areas close by yet 10 to 15 mins to about anything.
