Default moving to greensboro area

Hello,
my husband and i are truck drivers and were just offered a dedicated run out of browns summit. can anyone tell us anything about this area, where are nice areas to live, and safe? we do not mind mixed neighborhoods and get along with pretty much anyone. we would be gone for extended periods of time though and want to make sure that where we choose is safe enough that our house and possessions will still be there when we return.
is this area truck friendly? anywhere we can park a rig for a day or two? we know there are truck stops around greensboro but checking for anything closer.
what is around browns summit to do? lakes, shopping centers, malls, parks. etc..
our kids are grown and may follow in a year or so so would like to know whatever we can.

Greensboro will be your spot for food and shopping, but if you're coming to the Browns Summit area, you can easily live in Rockingham County if you like a rural area. It's just so beautiful there!

Brown Summit is close to Rockingham but close to Greensboro as well. New School being built for the area- Northern High School. Greensboro has the stuff to do and since I85, 29/70, 220 and I40 run right thru, you can find plenty of truck stops nearby.

Let me know if I can help.
