The Possum: (????)
Thank you for your post. My son finally made a decision and signed a lease for Salem View Apts. He went back there again, liked what he saw, realized it was the closest bet to the school, and he was able to get a 2 bedroom to boot for cheaper than the cost of living on campus in one of the school apts (which he wouldn't do, being an older student). Of course, he ended up renting for July, even though he won't be moving until Aug, but we were both concerned that he would miss his opportunity if he didn't sign now.
I for one am happy NOT to be looking at any more houses, though I have to say, some of those old houses are really amazing finds. I wish I was in the business of flipping houses. I had a lot of fun walking through the old houses and looking at the wonderful architecture. I love the Washington Park District and would gladly live in that neighborhood myself (from Raleigh). Hmmm...
By the way, don't want to be too nosy, but as a UNCSA grad, have you been able to find employment? My son is a music comp major. He spent the last 5 years as a touring musician, and is now ready to settle down, get his degrees, and hopefully find some paying work!
