oh, just remembered another downtown building I used to work in. The old Nissen building was renovated into apartments and has a pool on the roof. The view from up there is very nice. Recall watching a small tornado from the roof that was in another section of town back in 1998.
Most of the building's in the Triad do not offer public roof access; but I'll bet if someone went to look at an apartment. They'd be more than happy to show the pool area.
Not sure of the date. I will ask a friend at the police/fire dept if they can check the record. But I have heard that stories before the 1990's. Just posted the internet record under haunting. Think it was posted by Sunny back in 07
Yes the story is true. He jumped may 9 1974 ,he had been recently released from a mental hopital.He walked in to the wachovia building,now currently the Winston tower. With flowers to give to his girlfriend ,she I guess told him what he did not hear.So he rode the elevator to the observation floor ,and jumped head off head first.
