Hello! I am dragging my 11 year old daughter to Greensboro (From Raleigh) on Saturday so that I can take several boxes of dishes to Replacements.

Since that will likely be boring for her, where can I take her to lunch? or other shopping for her? It will just be the two of us. She likes places that are edgy, funky, or artsy, including vintage clothing and any place with truly unique decor (my little artist).

Well, I've never met a female who could resist the siren song of Tanger Outlets. While not necessarily trendy, they do have the kids' favorite stores. You might also visit S. Elm St. in Greensboro--there are quite a few neat, trendy places there.

Well, if you are going to G'boro you have to drive by Mebane. We (Betsy, my wife, and I) have three German Shepherd Dogs, the largest Male, Dreifus, will assure you nothing will happen to your daughter, Jorja, his daughter is a playful girl and Dreyson, our 4 month old GSD puppy, brendle coloration, has lots of energy and hasn't yet met a human being he did not want to kiss. We also have Leilu, a genuine rescue mutt puppy that looks more like a small beer barrel on four stubby legs. Our house is off the road, not that it matters, Dreifus won't allow children to go more than 20 yds into the woods or out the drive to the road, he won't hurt them but they may get frustrated at their inability to outsmart a very large dog. I also have some original African carvings and a couple of interesting art pieces.
