So... does that mean that they think the WS downtown would make one of the best ways
to satisfy a travelers curiosity for an afternoon?

Whoever make these lists should be taken out and shot.

If I were looking for a downtown area to live in that reason alone gives me cause to skip Winston. An inconsequential ranking IMO.

I think downtown Winston-Salem has come along ways. Almost all the store fronts are occupied unlike years ago when I was there. Hoping for continued success of the city center continuing to prosper. Just moved here this past Sunday. Remember bigger is not better...and if you have tons of night life that usually results in tons of trouble.

I swear they just recycle these lists over and over. Maybe move a city or two around every once in awhile. Every magazine has these goofy lists. If I paid attention to any of them, I'd swear Elvis was living in my attic with Batman and I have a lovely bridge for sale.

New to the area, and I do like downtown W-S. Just not sure it's a "top 10" in the entire U.S.
