We are moving to WS in a couple of months and wanted to get some opinions on some great neighborhoods...We would like to move into a very family oriented neighborhood, has a swim club and is in a great school district. We would like to be west of the city, in WS city limits. Any info would be great...Thxs

I love our area - Meadowlands subdivision near Wallburg. but it's southeast of W-S city limits...we wanted to be in Davidson County schools.

Sherwood Forest may be a good one to try. Good luck!

Head on over to Clemmons.

Many great neighborhoods. Salem Glen, Meadowbrook, Clemmons West, Waterford, etc.

Good luck!

OP, where are you moving from? IMO where you will fit in best might depend on where you're from, as well as what type of area/neighborhood you're looking for.

Any reason you want to be in the city limits of Winston?

Good point. We ended up in North Davidson county for the great schools and it actually turned out to not be a good fit for us personally. We didn't like our neighborhood or being so far removed from W-S community.

I like being 15-30 minutes from nearly everything in W-S, Gbro, and HP in Meadowlands. But I don't like being 15 minutes from just about anything. lol

You'll be in Forsyth County...I'm not familiar with specific schools there.

But the two areas we looked at most were north Davidson County (where we now live) - for the schools and being a little outside of the city, and on the Guilford County side of the Forsyth/Guilford county line, just outside Oak Ridge - also mainly for the schools (Guilford side was Oak Ridge schools; Forsyth side was not nearly as well renowned).
