We currently live in Central FL. We are looking to move to WS soon. We have made a couple trips to the area and area looking at a house in the 27127 zip code.
What are the safe areas or zip codes in WS? What do you think about thomasville? |

Greensboro is a cool place too. a nice booming downtown scene and vibrant nightlife there. Alot of parks and grenways, also a great place to raise a family.

Thomasville is a small town that is economically depressed. Nice area. I would live there. |

My wife and I just purchased a home in that zip. The subdivision is called Kingstree, has been around for about 20 years. Subdivision is great, neighbors are great. The houses are very nice for the age and the neighborhood is well planned, although no sidewalks. They left a lot of old trees and the lots are large. The immediate schools are not great, but you have the option of going to several different schools so it's not too bad.

What about Twin Gardens, Southbend townhomes, Crosswinds, or Heather Hills in WS?
Schools are important because I am an elementary teacher. |

Thomasville, like Lexington, is not appreciating in value like Forsyth or WS. They are becoming bedroom communities, so perhaps you can get something very cheap in TVille, but I wouldn't do it. Best bet is north Davidson County, part of which is WS city limits. Get into Forsyth County Schools.
Some folks choose Kernersville because of its easy access to WS, High Point and Greensboro. Especially if you work in one city and the spouse works in another. That would keep you from being limited to where you can be employed. Let me know if I can help. Good luck! |

There are some really nice places in 29127. Try looking in Camden Forest area.

Can't comment on for sure about those townhomes/condos, but as far as schools go, it's very hit or miss. Have you applied with WSFC schools? There are MANY schools in the area, but it all depends. My wife works for the schools and could provide some input on specific ones. Good luck on your move.

Nothing there, except fast food, Wal-Mart, and high tax rates.
