We are preparing to move cross country to Raleigh and with 3 months left before our move are now also considering Winston-Salem..Triad area.
Are there any "artsy"/up & coming areas? Perhaps some neighborhoods that have old charm? We are not looking to live in the suburbs... but a neighborhood of old bungalows that sell for cheap and need some TLC would be great. We are in our early 30's and love the arts...film, rock n' roll, indie culture. Is there anywhere in the area that could potentially meet our desires?
