Default possible relocation to winston-salem

we're about to retire in Ct, and absolutely love the winston-salem/pfafftown area. What area of winston should we look at
in the home range of 160-200,000 price range? Any comments on
the area are appreciated

Thanks!

Since you've already specified the Pfafftown side of Winston, you may want to look in 27106 and 27040 zip codes.

The area bordered by Reynolda Rd. to the east, Yadkinville Rd. to the north and Country Club Rd. to the south is among the best in Winston-Salem and you're sure to find possibilities in your price range that will be in good neighborhoods.

Are you looking for anything in particular such as proximity to groceries, etc?

thanks for responding

I have a retired friend in Pfafftown Long Creek Village- another Yankee
transplant1 and I fell in love with the entire area last year and am trying to get the husband to at least consider the Winston area . Our taxes are
so high here but we do look over to Long Island sound but as you get older we have to think of safety and taxes, etc

Think about the Thanksgiving Dinners and Christmas morning's and 4th of July parties
without everyone you now know too.

My uncles retired to the Pfafftown area and loved it. They were from Virginia originally.

For $200K in this economy you are going to get a pretty nice house. I saw one in Stokes (before the recession hit), brand new for $220K or so that had 3 floors, 5 bedrooms, 2 car garage and a close to gourmet kitchen.
